    I just wanted to point out my favourite perspective of this story.
    In the bible it is written:and God said Let There Be Light and There Was Light meaning he created the Universe. The ending phrase of this story draws such an awesome comparison between this biblical reference and the godlike power of the computer that it's pure bookgasm for a science nerd like me!

  2. That's the whole point, isn't it? Once you have 'sufficient' data, which is ALL the data in the span of an universe's life, you become God.


    The interesting part for me, always is the multitude of meanings, that the last line holds. Does that mean only God can reverse entropy? Does that mean only God knows the answer to that question? Does that mean that one must become God to be able to answer that question? Does that mean even God doesn't have the answer to the last question?


    Do you see why I love this story so much?????????????!!!
