Broken Faith

What makes a god false?

When is it that a god falls?

Is it their actions?

Their broken promises and demands for blind faith?

Is it when that faith we have in them breaks

Into a thousand pieces

And lays at our feet?

Has nobody stopped to wonder

Why the chants have never changed

Despite centuries having passed by?

Gods are not like shooting stars

At least shooting stars can be seen

So I wonder

When is it that I lost faith?

Or did I just stop looking?
